The Library is focused on supporting these programs together with fostering a recreational reading culture, recognising that avid readers are high achievers. Students undertaking Distance Education studies do so through the Library. There is weekly Chess Coaching, school and interschool Chess Tournaments; Opti-MINDS Challenge, Readers’ Cup competitions as well as other reading and literary related events throughout each year.

Our Library catalogue, now available online, allows students to search and reserve loans, as well as track their current and past loans. Borrowing statistics reveal a significant increase over the last year, with fiction and graphic readers topping the recreational reading choices. Instructions for setting up your login can be found here.

A Tax Deductible Gift Register — Library Fund operates at Indooroopilly State High School. This fund supports the acquisition of property and services for the Library and its collections and enables the Library to provide a wider range of resources for our students as well as supporting Chess. To make a contribution please download the form here.
