Arts XLR8 are extension subjects enabling students to specialise in the Arts area in which they have a particular interest.
The programs are available to students in Year 7. They are designed to prepare students for their Arts education at Indooroopilly and extend their creativity, abilities and interests. There are three areas of study.
ART XLR8 allows students to channel their creativity into the process of art making and appreciating. The program develops students’ understanding of concepts and practical skills relevant to two and three dimensional Art and Design. It also aims to broaden the students’ understanding of the visual arts thereby furthering their own sense of personal aesthetic.

The program engages students in practical dance performance and choreography experiences through the exploration of a range of dance styles and techniques.
MUSIC XLR8 allows students with musical ability to continue to connect with music and the music making process.
